چکیده
A ligand-promoted, palladium-catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of terminal alkynes using ethanol as the hydrogen donor is developed. The chemical selectivity control achieved based on ligand regulation. use triethanolamine and tetrahydrofuran at 80 °C under N 2 found to be critical for alkynes. general applicability this procedure highlighted by synthesis 27 alkenes in moderate good yields.

Selective iron-catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of terminal alkynes.
A novel iron-catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of alkynes to the corresponding alkenes applying formic acid as a hydrogen donor is reported. An in situ combination of Fe(BF(4))(2)·6H(2)O and tetraphos allows for highly selective hydrogenation of a broad range of aromatic and aliphatic alkynes tolerating different functional groups.

The transfer semihydrogenation of alkynes to (Z)-alkenes shows excellent chemo- and stereoselectivity when using a zerovalent palladium(NHC)(maleic anhydride)-complex as precatalyst and triethylammonium formate as hydrogen donor. Studies on the kinetics under reaction conditions showed a broken positive order in substrate and first order in catalyst and hydrogen donor. Deuterium-labeling studie...

Three-component coupling of bis(dialkylamino)chloroborane, alkynes and organozirconium reagents proceeded in the presence of palladium catalysts, leading to the formation of stereo-defined alkenylborane derivatives via cis-carboboration of carbon-carbon triple bonds.

[reaction: see text]. A novel catalytic system for asymmetric hydrogenation of functionalized ketones has been developed using a Pd/bisphosphine complex as the catalyst in 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol. The reaction exhibits high enantioselectivity, and up to 92.2% ee was obtained.
